I enjoyed Mia Carter’s book, “The Dare.” It is a story about a group of friends who find themselves in the cross-hairs of a psychopath. While I would categorize its genre as suspense, there is also plenty of romance.
Following college graduation, a group of best friends reunites for a birthday celebration. Party hostess, May, chooses a “Dare” themed party that results in a night of chilling dares that will have lasting impact on each of the friends. The appearance of crazy ex-boyfriend, John Miller, adds an additional element of danger. With his laser focus on one of the friends, the group rallies to protect both her and each other.
“..the ultimate dare! No truth. Dare only. The person has to do it, no matter what it is!”
The book is long at over 760 pages but the story flows nicely. It kept me on my toes and had an ending I didn’t see coming! Author Mia Carter obviously devoted time towards research on topics such as technology and science to keep the plot believable.
